September – October 2025
Ottanio and the Gae Aulenti Archive.
A conversation with Nina Artioli and an exclusive visit to
Gae Aulenti's archive.

Between the end of September and the beginning of October 2025, Ottanio Opendoor hosted a special collaboration with the Gae Aulenti Archive, dedicated to celebrating the figure and design vision of the renowned Italian architect.
Two distinct yet deeply connected moments offered an intimate, cultural, and cross-disciplinary perspective on her extraordinary career.
On September 30, at the Ottanio space in Milan, a conversation was held with Nina Artioli, director of the Archive and granddaughter of Gae Aulenti.
Through personal stories, anecdotes, and reflections on her grandmother’s projects, Nina shared an authentic and profound portrait of one of the most emblematic figures of twentieth-century architecture and design.
During the evening, "LA GAE", the new volume published by Electa and dedicated to collecting the architect’s materials, projects, and thoughts, was also presented.
The second event took place on October 8 at Gae Aulenti’s historic studio in Brera, Milan, which today hosts the Archive.
A select group of Ottanio guests had the opportunity to enjoy an immersive experience within the space where Gae Aulenti both lived and designed, a place rich with memory and layers of history, where private life and professional vision coexist.
The visit offered a tangible encounter with Aulenti’s creative universe, among furniture, books, artworks, archival materials, and atmospheres that have remained untouched over time.
