a gem of brutalist architecture.

Villa Caffetto, designed in 1970 by architect Fausto Bontempi, is a masterpiece of brutalist architecture located in Calcinato, near Brescia. Built for the artist Claudio Caffetto, the villa stands out for its bold lines and the use of raw materials that perfectly blend with the surrounding landscape.

A fascinating place for architecture and design enthusiasts. Villa Caffetto is spread over multiple levels, with spacious, bright areas contrasting with the concrete. The geometric shapes and sharp lines blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, thanks to the use of materials that convey strength. It is not just a residence, but a work of art that reflects the vision of the artist for whom it was designed.

Ottanio Design invited its friends to a Sunday en plein air breakfast at Villa Caffetto, opening the doors to an intimate and private journey through architecture and beauty.

Guiding the guests through the villa was one of Claudio Caffetto’s daughters, who shared personal stories and anecdotes about each room; the tales of someone who witnessed the project come to life and experienced every space from within.
